Logcial fallacies ( week 13)

I have noticed some of the logical fallacies that are used everyday where I work and on commercials are: “A penny saves is a penny earned.”
How is did you warn the penny if it was already yours to start off with? I don’t understand why people say this if the penny was yours to begin with.

I used to believe this logical fallacy until I researched it and found out it was false.
“The faster you drive the more gas you waste.”

This is false because between 40-60 us the most fuel efficient and driving in town is the worst because of all the stops and slow drivers.

Other logical fallacy that I have noticed is used often by my parents and the people I work for is... “Stay in school, knowledge is power.”
You should stay in school. It will benefit you in the long run. The down side is that knowledge is not always power. Power is controlled by how much money you have and social status.
The one my parents are victims of is Menards.
“Save big money at Menards.”
I see this as spend big money at Menards. I don’t see how people save money shopping there in the first place because everything is so expensive now.
